Embracing the mission “From the community, To the community”, the Group has established four foundations in order to coordinate charitable works. “Emperor Foundation” was established in early 1997 to support charitable activities relating to education, medical and health, culture, community, environment protection, helping the poor, the children and the aged in Hong Kong and China. In early 2004, the Group set up the “Hong Kong Daily News Foundation” with a view to making use of media’s influence to attract more donations for those in need. Later in August 2004, the “Jackie Chan and Albert Yeung Charity Foundation” was established and officially approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China. The Foundation addresses the needs of the disadvantaged minority in China with special attention to children, the aged and women, offering financial aid in the fields of education, medical and health and other social benefits. In 2008, Dr. Yeung set up “Albert Yeung Sau Shing Charity Foundation” under his own name, which is dedicated to non-profit sports, educational and cultural activities.
