Mr. Albert Yeung was conferred Degree of Doctor of Commerce (Honoris Causi) by the University of West Alabama and won World Outstanding Chinese Award

[August 2, 2007 - Hong Kong ] Mr. Albert Yeung, chairman of Emperor Group, was conferred Degree of Doctor of Commerce (Honoris Causi) and won World Outstanding Chinese Award at “Presentation of World Outstanding Chinese Award 2007 and Conferment of Hon. PhD Degrees The University of West Alabama” on August 2, 2007.

The event took place at Grand Emperor Hotel and was organized by United World Chinese Association. Each year the Association gives recognitions to a selected few outstanding Chinese who have made significant achievements and contributions to Chinese communities and compatriots all over the world. Mr. Albert Yeung is one of the 18 award winners this year.

Attending officiating and VIP guests included Dr. Carl Ching, Founder and President of United World Chinese Association; Dr. Tsang Hin Chi, Member of the Standing Committee, the National People's Congress of the PRC; and Dr. Richard D. Holland, President of the University of West Alabama.

Upon receiving these two glories at one time, Mr. Albert Yeung said, “I am very excited and honoured to be able to win the award and conferred the PhD degree. I’d like to give my thanks to all who have supported me all through the years. And I am so proud to be here today and share my happiness with other award winners and conferees, who are all highly respected business leaders.” He also expressed his special appreciation to United World Chinese Association and the University of Alabama for their recognitions. He would continue contributing to the Chinese communities.
